Phone Contacts issue

I am using iPhone 3GS. I have installed latest IOS 5.0.1 recently. Since then whenever I add any phone contact the new contact will appear first with index alphabet before alphabet A index. Normally it should come under the corresponding alphabet index. Why this happens? Any settings to correct this problem?

Check your region setting. Mine was set to the Netherlands after the update. I also had to dial *228 and reprogram the phone and roaming. After that everything corrected itself. I'm on a 4s tho. (Verizon is my carrier)
