Im so confused. When I click on the contacts app the following shows up:

I search for a contact and it appears under "all contacts" but does not appear under "all iCloud". Why don't ALL contacts sync under iCloud? When this reason sends an iMessage her name comes up on my iPhone but only her number shows on my iPad. The contact is in my iPhone but nt in my iPad.

Here's a fix.

1) Turn contacts off in iCloud.
2) Keep on IPhone(don't delete from phone)
3) Turn contacts back on in iCloud.

Thanks. I turned off icloud contacts sync. I want to use gmail for contact and calendar syncing. Apparently you can't use iTunes, gmail and iCloud together to sync or you end up with 4 groups under contacts. How do I fix this? Example: I have ones contact under "all contacts" but not under iPhone contacts. That same contact also does not appear on my iPad.

If you turn iCloud back on that will sync your contacts to iCloud. You can back up your device using iTunes and save them that way. Not sure how to sync google contacts though.

Yeah this is a bug in the iTunes side of contacts under Mac OS X Lion. The first time you turn iCloud on and put a checkmark next to contacts it doesn't really work. You have to uncheck it and recheck it in and everything works. There had to be a few bugs here 'n there.

All in all - a PRETTY DAMN GOOD roll out of iCloud on iOS5 side and Lion+iTunes 10.5.

We need a 5.01 for iPhone soon and an iTunes 10.6 for fixes. But I'm happy!!

I'm just too in love with Siri - and all she can do.

I agree with the upgrades. Lol. In every post you talk about Siri. I'm going to tell your wife.
