How come the contacts on my iPhone 6 aren't showing up when I use iMessages on my MacBook Pro? I just got a text from someone who is in my contacts list on my Phone, but on my MacBook it just shows their number and not the name.

If you're syncing via iCloud, to icloud.com, sign in and look at the contacts there. Is every information from the iPhone visible?
If you don't sync contacts via iCloud, but a different account, login to the account online (browser) and take a look at the contact details.
Are both, the iPhone and the MacBook up to date? The recent version for the iPhone 6 is 8.3. The latest software version for the MacBook was released five days ago, it's 10.10.3.
