Pay monthly three mobile contract

Hi there. I am on a pay monthly contract with three mobile. I wanted more GB of data so I changed my plan and got sent a sim.
I have put the sim in my 12 pro max and I think I have activated the sim because I am getting service. How do I get my original number back? I don’t want this temp. Number. I am trying to look for the form but theres one for when you switch from PAYG to PM.

You probably need a PAC ‘Porting Authorisation Code' as your new SIM has a new number. To get the PAC, you may need to put the old SIM back in your phone for a short while. Lots of info online re PACs.
