Today, an iOS 7.1.X jailbreak has been released by the name of PanGu, which has a Chinese origin, and works for all devices running iOS 7.1 and 7.1.1 (as well as 7.1.2 once the utility has been updated and iOS 7.1.2 is released).

Note that at the start of the release, you will not see 100% compatibility with tweaks that previously worked on 7.1's GeekSn0w or tweaks that worked on Evasi0n7's 7.0-7.0.6 jailbreak. Most packages still work though some do not, and it's ill advised to edit your firmware identifier via iFile. Share your experience and queries on PanGu.

Malware scare has been completely debunked by i0n1c. New JB is completely safe. You're the best with this stuff, Willerz, but this time I'm gonna have to go with i0n1c's complete thumbs up on the 7.1.1 JB as of his most current tweets 3pm CDT.

All you need to do is make sure to take the check mark off for the Chinese pirate store - so it's not loaded to your phone.

But I'd also like to hear Saurik's thoughts on this. Hasn't said anything on Reddit yet as of this am.

Have been reading some reports that some phones haven't been able to actually get jailbroken. But people's iPods and iPads seem to be more easily jailbroken with this tool.

We all got to keep reading. Willerz will keep us up-to-date! :)

Well, me shouldn't forget that the known jailbreak devs are human and, therefore, not immune to making mistakes. I seem to remember one jailbreak team adding a Chinese store that paid the jb developers for including the store in the jailbreak. I'm wondering if that optional store in the current jb is a similar deal.

i0n1c and MuscleNerd have both confirmed there is no 'spyware/malware' associated with Pangu as long as you uncheck the checkmark for the Chinese app store. We're 'at least' as safe as we are now with the 7.0.x jailbreak.

I got a positive for testing for Unflod and variant parameters in a sandboxed environment. Since none of the reputable hackers do not have objections to the release of PanGu aside from @i0n1c, I took their word that the utility is safe with my personal testing kept in mind while posting the tutorial.

Pangu v1.1.0 has been released. The link has been updated in the first post. Boot loops have been fixed, the utility now reflects the language of your computer, and has the piracy app removed based on your computer's locality.

. So if I have the old version does that mean I have to restore my iPhone then rejailbreak it? Thanks in advance

No need. The newer version from reports is actually slightly buggier than the original. If you did not tick the box, then you're fine. If you unknowingly ticked it, you can install a tweak by angelxwind to remove the aspects of the piracy app, then remove the app from Cydia.

There're several situations where users are not getting their SSH toggled on upon reboot, which a lot of users rely on

Took a deep breath and updated IOS to 7.1.1 then I installed the newest jailbreak. Everything went off with out a hitch and I'm back to where I was before the update.

It's all good thanks to the PanGu team.
