No text email voicemail alert

I installed the new iOS 5.01 update but since then I've had no end of software issues no text mail or voicemail alerts the keypad sounds the lock sounds and the swoosh doesn't work properly unless it's on charge help

Factory restore your iOS using your computer iTunes. That will solve most of those issues on your phone.
