AppleInsider reports that Nissan has today launched its new Leaf all-electric vehicle, complete with a couple of extras that will be of interest to Apple device owners. Among the innovations introduced in the new model, including the Nissan e-Pedal, which enables the driver to accelerate, decelerate, and brake using just the one pedal; ProPilot assist technology; and intelligent lane departure warning, the new Leaf also boasts a 7-inch touchscreen display with CarPlay support, although only the mid-tier and upwards models starting at $32, 490 will have that feature.

The Nissan Leaf is on sale in Japan on October 1, 2017, and will then arrive in the US, Canada, and Europe early in 2018. Anyone who reserves a Nissan Leaf online by January 22, 2018, and buys the car by May 15, 2018, can choose from a free Apple Watch Series 2 or free GoPro HERO5 Black or Nest and Google Home Bundle.

The single pedal frightens me, intelligent lane departure warning looks good though
