I am new to this but no matter what theme I install my icons do not change and its getting very frustrating =[... what am i doing wrong?

After installing the theme you need to configure which themes display inside winterboard

You need to make sure you are installing the correct theme.

Some themes use WinterBoard, some themes use DreamBoard.

WinterBoard is better.

Open Cydia and make sure WinterBoard is installed. Reinstall it.

Now search for the blue WinterBoard icon on your SpringBoard(home screen).

In WinterBoard tap "Themes" and select which theme you want to activate.

No theme will activate unless the device resprings.
