Newb question of the day! How do I....

So i was playing around with xGPS last night and after i shut it down the satellite icon remained next too my battery.

How the heck do I get rid of it!! The only way I've found so far is too power the phone down.

Double tap the home button and close the app from your multitasking bar. It should disappear on it's own within a few minutes...
