I need to re-install the DirecTV app on my iPhone6 ... when I delete the app the phone does not remove the original install data. Hence when I re-download the app it does not actually re-install, it picks up the previous installs particulars. Is there anyway to COMPLETELY remove a 3rd party app (and all it's remnants) from an iPhone6?

A bit drastic, I know, but you could restore the iPhone to factory settings and set it up as new. You could then reinstall the offending App afresh.

Welcome to iPhone Forums!

It's possible to remove an app in Settings. Go to Settings - General - Storage & iCloud Usage - Storage - Manage Storage. Scroll down to the app, tap the app, and delete it from there.

That done, restart or reboot your iPhone and make sure the app isn't visible in the App Switcher.

Then try reinstalling it.

Resetting the phone is not at option ... I have over 200 apps on it.
Working on J.A.'s solution now.

J.A.'s possible solution didn't get me anywhere ... still looking.
