Listen up Monster Hunter fans! Capcom has this week released the first iPhone/iPod touch Monster Hunter game, Monster Hunter: Dynamic Hunting, and its looking awesome! Just as in the Monster Hunter console games, the iPhone version transports the player to a world of fantasy, where huge creatures roam the land at will, and where you get to fight the great beasts in epic encounters with sword pitted against claw. By defeating the beasts, players can unlock materials to use to make new and more powerful weapons. The game features nearly 40 different weapons divided into three main categories: one-handed swords, big swords and double swords. Players can also team up with a friend and share the hunt as well as the spoils via Bluetooth.
The games control system opts for something a little different to the usual virtual d-pad and control stick, with the player simply tapping the screen with one finger to swing their weapon, and with two fingers to block. To evade, slide two fingers left or right. Basic moves are accomplished by sliding a single finger left or right.
