Missing Photos from Download to Laptop

In order to make room to install the new ios on my phone, I downloaded my entire photo roll to my computer, and deleted them from my phone. Now that I go into my comptuer to retrieve the photos, I see that a vast majority of them did not transfer. Many of those pictures were very important to others and to me- photos of my mom going through her cancer treatments, photos of my best friend at her mother's funeral-- really irreplaceable photos. I wanted to know if there is any way that I am unaware of to retrieve these photos from my phone after they have been deleted.

If you still have a backup where these pictures were included, you'll be able to restore them and save/store them on the computer.

Otherwise it could be difficult to retrieve the pictures. Recovery software might help you. Just search for "Photo recovery iPhone", and you'll get quite a few results, for both Mac and PC. You'll have to decide yourself which one to use.
