LostWinds 2 Goes Free for a Day

No sooner has Frontier Developments first game in the series, LostWinds, been made free app of the week by Apple and the App Store in early October, than FreeAppaDay.com has now made the gorgeous sequel, LostWinds 2, free as well. This is one free game you really don’t want to miss out on, especially if you like platform puzzlers. As Pocket Gamer said in its review, LostWinds 2 is bigger and better than the original, with new moves for the game’s hero, Toku, including the cyclone ability, which lets you tunnel into the soil or project water pools into a cloud, or even make snowballs out of snowflakes and icicles out of enemies. You can also switch between summer and winter seasons later in the game. The basic gameplay is the same, you use the power of the wind to move Toku about his environment, and also use it to trap enemies and manipulate fire. One of the things I really love about these games is the calming, soothing music. It’s so relaxing, and makes it just a sheer joy to settle down and play these games for a while.
