Jailbreaking is all about finding an exploit... and that cannot be accomplished until the JB Devs have the 5 in hand. It took weeks for us to seek a JB w/ the 4S was released last year. My prediction... don't expect a JB for the iPhone 5 any sooner than late October or early November.
And just to add my 2c, the jailbreak will be userland based and therefore all about IOS6 and nothing to do with the hardware of the iPhone5. It is still likely to take a time period measured in weeks or months at which time the jailbreak will be for all devices running IOS6, not one or more specific devices....
