Hi Guys,
I searched and didn't find an answer for this, and I just wanted clarification before I did anything.
I have an iPhone 4 currently @ iOS 5, modem firmware 4.11.08, running the tethered jail break.
I see that with the 5.0.1 there is an untethered jailbreak and unlock. The key for me is the unlock, as I've had this phone for almost a year now and have only been able to use it when I travel since it isn't unlocked.
My question is, how do I upgrade to preserve my baseband so that when I do the untethered jailbreak, I can unlock right away? Does it even matter? If so, what should I be looking for.
I really appreciate you taking the time to help me clarify, I don't want to rush in then end up with a locked phone again.
