I just got my new unlocked and jailbroken iphone 3gs and want to sync with itunes but a message came up that I need to have a newer version. It said itunes 10 or newer. My question is Which version in better there are several to choose from. this is the first tine I will be doing this is there anything I should be careful of that might hurt the phone.

Itunes version is ok to upgrade just dont upgrade to the newer firmware and you will be ok
What Unleashed said. just update iTunes to the latest version and reboot your computer. Always try to keep iTunes relatively updated. Always check to make sure it is jailbreak safe before updating. That has never been an issue, and iTunes updates have never effected a jailbroken iPhone before, but ya never know, so it's always best to check. As the the latest version of iTunes version 10.6.1 is perfectly fine to update to.
