I have had my iPhone 4s for about a month and a half, and it just seems like my battery has not been doing very well lately. After 2 hours of usage, 2 and 1/2 hrs standby my battery is at 60% Is that normal for an iPhone? It seems like it lasted a lot longer when I first got the phone.

Thanks

It probably did last longer. We haut annoy say really...because it could have the extra drain simply from heavy use.

Some days...I get down to 70% in just 2 hours on heavy usage.

Hey Coach;

I'm certainly no authority on iPhones but maybe it could be some apps that you've aquired over the last month that are constantly working in the background.

From what I understand, you can disable apps that you don't use very often.

Just a thought

Actually apps don't run in the background....however some apps could be using location services that may potentially drain battery. And some apps use your location to show advertisements according to your area.

Ok, that's what I figured, I am on it a lot, but like I said it just seemed to last longer when I first got it lol. But I also have days where the battery lasted for 6 hours usage and 13 standby and I still had 10 percent. So I guess I am just using it heavy or something is draining it today

Yes I learned that handy little trick, I try to remember to do it often, but I was so used to my droid and having task killer. I can't seem to find an app like that for iPhone. But it's not a huge issue.

The iPhone already has a task killer. It called the app switcher. Double tap the home button, tap and hold on the app, then tap the red minus sign.

Mines jailbroken, so I can just swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the switcher...then I can just drag any paused apps out and it quits them. Much quicker.lol

Yeppers.. I'm jailbroken and have a tweak from Cydia allowing me to "kill" all apps via my notification pull down menu..

I got something like that too with MultiCleaner. MultiCleaner puts extra actions in the Activator settings.

Quit All Apps
Quit Current App
Minimize App

I use "double tap" status bar to quit the app I'm in.

I use "tap and hold" status bar to quit all apps at once.
