Is Apple About to Announce $350 Prepaid iPhone for Late Summer?

[FONT=&quot]Boy Genius Report has an exclusive story today based on information that it has had from a source that it refers to as “incredibly solid” to the effect that Apple will be launching a prepaid, low-cost iPhone, costing no more than $350 without a contract, by late August. This is where it all gets a little confusing, but stay with us! BGR says that it is possible that this new prepaid iPhone will be the current iPhone 3GS, so not a new model. BGR’s source also said that another phone will also either be announced by Apple or actually be coming out in late August. The source was unable to ascertain if this is a radically different iPhone 5, or the similar iPhone 4S, but they did add that if the next iPhone was going to be very different in structure, we probably would have seen some of those cases leaking out by now. BGR says that it hs also been told that Apple will still be selling the iPhone 4, meaning that Apple will soon have a low-cost phone, a mid-range phone and a high-end phone on the market at the same time.
