Iphone w/Microcell..starts good then goes bad

It's very strange. I have the microcell in my place. When I start the conversation it's all good, but the longer I talk the worse it gets. I can hear the person I am talkiing to PERFECTLY, but by the time we give up on the call they are only getting every 3rd to 5th word! It's very frustrating. Can this be affected by my slow internet connection?

Today Cox Cable came out and he told me that I should be turning my wifi on when I am in the house and using the cable internet network connection on my iphone and this should help. I don't know if it's helping because I have not made any phone calls. He said that it works good when you DONT have unlimited data on your phone because it uses the cable internet connection for the date instead of the phone plan. I have unlimited data on my ATT phone plan so that doesn't really matter. I hope this helps.
