You cannot jailbreak 4.2.10. You're going to have to wait to see if ios5 will me jailnreakable

you can using redsn0w but everytime you reboot your phone it needs to be connected to your computer via USB or you will loose the jailbreak.

The latest version of Redsn0w has been confirmed to jailbreak the just released iOS 4.3.5/4.2.10 on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad 1, and iPod Touch 4G/3G. But it will be limited to tethered boot, which means you will have to reconnect your device to your computer every time you reboot your iOS device. iPad 2 is obviously not supported


honestly its not even worth it due to this.
 
Tried using redsn0w this weekend...no luck....must be getting a bad version or something.....
