well even on full battery and a decent amount of battery it will just turn off and you can see the screen just fade out like the battery is dead. i have restored it twice and it has the latest software.

have you tried a hard reset?

yeah i have done that nothing seems to work, do you think i need a new battery?

after it turns off im assuming you then put it back on charge? what does the battery show after it dies?

well i hold the power button and it sometimes turns back on and sometimes it doesnt. it doesnt die when its charging. yesterdat it did it so i tried to turn it back on and it wouldnt so when i eventually got it back on the battery had decreased by quite alot.

if your battery has a decent amount after charging and doesnt hold the charge for long,i.e decreases in a very short time then it would seem that you need a new battery,the fact that your phone doesnt die when its on charge would point to it being that too.

thanks, do you think i should buy the tools and battery and do it myself as it has no warranty left or should i go to a shop?

if you feel capable of doing it yourself it shouldnt be too hard,if you go on google you should be able to find a tutorial pretty easily,let us know how it goes.
