Firstly, let me apologize if my problem can be fixed by search well enough. I’ve spent nearly 8 hours to repair my Iphone. Ok. So Here’s my little story: I was trying to update my jailbroken Iphone 4s from 6.1.1 to 8.3 using restore option in Itunes 12.0.1. Well, it didn’t work, error 14 showed up and it put my Iphone in restore mode.
I did try to use restore and update options (to 8.4) over 10-12 times using different solutions or methods, including basic tips like editing hosts, tinyumbrella hosts, swapping usb cables, trying it on different computers, re-downloading etc. Then, I’ve tried to update/restore my Iphone to 8.4 using TaigPro but it didn’t work as well, oddly enough it showed that my Iphone is on ios 8.4 now.
What’s more, when I upgraded my jailbroken Ipad 4 – from 7.x - on the same computer it went smoothly in over 10 minutes.
Alas, nothing seems to be working and I’m haunted in my dreams by error 14 and I have basically a phone that necromancer needs to take care of.
Could you guys give me some tips or solutions as how to approach this problem?
