Iphone 4S died.

My phone was in my pocket after responding to text and next time I looked at it the screen was dead. Tried the on/off button and plugging it in, to no avail. Any suggestions?

Have you tried a hard reset?
Hold down the On/Off button and Home button together until the apple appears then let go and the phone will reboot.
