The phone has the itunes symbol and the usb cord with an arrow and it want do anything,tried pushing home key and top right button but still doesnt do anything it did this after a uodate..any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Use a Recovery Fix using a utility like RedSn0w or TinyUmbrella.

Otherwise, follow this
