iphone 4 gps

Does the iPhone 4 connect to satellites? I moved to Louisiana and used the map app. Some places it said I had no service but the GPS beaken was moving with the trail, even though the map could not load.:maps:

Yes, it does use gps. But the stock google map app needs the net to load the maps. So if you want a true gps you need an offline map app. (one that stores the maps in the app)

And that will take up a few meg.

Yes it does and like previously mentioned you would need a true GPS app.
