Just replaced the front assembly on an iPhone 4 CDMA that was dropped, when the phone is asleep for awhile it has vertical colored lines that take up the whole screen starting from top and goes down, but its fine after a few seconds. It doesn't do it if it has not been asleep for a minute or so. Anybody know if its a software, hardware or defective new lcd thats the problem?

Thanks

Chances are you're looking at a poor quality replacement screen/digitizer. This is a very common occurance due to the lack of quality control in the manufacturing process of CHEAPO screens. We recommend that you only purchase OEM replacement screens that come w/ a full warranty from being defective. If you would like a source... this is where many of us recommend. iPhone 4 Display Assembly (CDMA/Verizon) - iFixit
