Iphone 4 and water

My Iphone 4 went swimming for about 10 minutes. Has anyone ever revived theirs after doing this?

Next prob. is, I can't upgrade til 12/11? What would you do? Cancel contract? Buy a new Iphone? What to do???

Buy a new phone off of ebay.

I recommend taking it back to where you got is (ATT store, Apple Store, wherever) and tell them the truth. See if they would replace it. Can't hurt to try -- you might luck out. If not, I would just replace it with a 3GS ($49) until your current contract goes out, then get the iPhone 5.

Thanks EWYATT, that sounds like an excellent idea (to get the iphone 3) as I already tried talking to the AT & T people without any luck. I was advised by the Radio Shack tech. to try putting the phone in uncooked rice for 24 hours, that this would soak up the moisture. I think I'll give it a try.

Rice supposedly works very well.. can't hurt to try

Please let us know how the rice thing works for you, homebuffy.... I almost doubt you'll have any luck because after a water drop, you need to take out the battery ASAP to prevent electronic shorts in the circuitry. With Apple products, you can't do that because Apple is too weird to allow access to the battery compartment.
