iphone 3g swap?

A few months ago i was given an iphone 3g 16gb and after a lot of wasted hard work discovered that it has been blacklisted in the uk... which as you can imagine is very disappointing! i would hate for the iphone to go to waist so if there is anyone over-seas with the same problem, and is trustful enough to do a swap, that would be brill. If anyone has any advice or is interested please contact me via this post or private mail. Thank you.

I realise your post is a couple of months old now, but I am in a very similar situation in Australia. I have an iphone 3G 16GB white handset, it has been jailbroken and unlocked but has had it's IMEI blocked by an Australian service provider.
