I would like to buy an iPhone17, However before I do I would like to find a case with a flat back perhaps 1/16" thicker than the camera projection, so that the camera will sit flat when back down. I don't want lumps and bumps and sticky out bits. They snag on pockets and cause the phone to rock when in use. I don't care in the least that it would make the phone thicker, That's a rabbit hole for the aesthetically effete. Has anybody enough knowledge of the market to suggest an open face case that will fit the bill ? Also it occurs to me that wrapping the sides of the case in, well, anything much, is not going to help the aluminium frame to shed heat. but that's another discussion. i feel it is about time that Apple stopped hanging fragile bits on the outside of their devices, By the time the camera has fully emerged we'll be back to two devices !
