IOS update

Today I received an update for my iPhone XS Max. It was 12.1.2 so I downloaded it and everything is fine, but my question is how come my iPad Pro isn’t getting the same update. I thought that Apple was going to try and keep all the updates the same across the entire line. It’s not a problem but I was just curious.

My iPad hasn’t got the notice for12.1.2 either. Perhaps it doesn’t apply to the iPad. The notice says bug fixes for your iPhone. The previous one said iPhone and iPad I think.

iOS 12.1.2 is for iPhone only.

Yep the ios 12.1.2 is for iphone only my iphone 6 i got for christmas 2018 has it.

I just received ISO 12.2 for both my iPhone8plus and my iPad 10.5 Pro.

Yes, all my Apple devices are updated even a new update for my Airpods Gen 1. Apple has been busy.
