Even if Apple just released its latest handset - the iPhone 5, there is still a massive amount of users that still utilize daily the iPhone 4S. And a lot of reports have been spotted around the forums and websites, where users are complaining of having issues with 3G on the previous generation device. Finally, the company has decided to fix the problem and has released the iOS 6.1.1 update especially for the iPhone 4S.

Even if the first beta version of the iOS 6.1.1 has been unleashed for all iOS 6 compatible devices, the current version is aimed only at the iPhone 4S and bears the number 10B145. The first beta version was, however, responsible for the problems experienced by users. Vodafone UK even issued a special warning to its subscribers, advising against downloading the iOS 6 on their handsets:

"Some customers may occasionally experience difficulty in connecting to the network to make or receive calls or texts or to connect to the Internet. Apple is working on a solution to their software issue. These connection problems are intermittent," read the statement.

The prior build will be most likely sent back to developers transformed in the iOS 6.1.2. The new update promises to impact cellular performance and reliability for users of the iPhone 4S. Other issues revolving the impact of the iOS 6.1.1 on the iPhone 4S revolved on battery drainage.

Also, if users have performed some additional jailbreak via evasi0n and updated the pack, the update will then become visible in the Settings application.
