Installing iTunes 11.1.4 on windows 7 leads to crash

I have been trying to update iTunes to the latest version 11.1.4 on windows7 64bit but any time I try the application crashes and I have to restore the system to an earlier version. Is anyone out there experiencing same or there is a problem with my system? Any solutions.

I have been waiting to see how the update goes before doing it myself, Windows 7-64 bit also.

Works fine on my Win7 x64 machines. Haven't had any problems at all...

Thanks for the response. Will go for windows update before trying again. Maybe my windows needs updating.

I had similar problems.

Apple had me delete all iTunes, Apple and Bonjour resources using the Control Panel Programs utility and then reinstall iTunes.

Solved the problems.

But if I delete and reinstall, won't I lose all my backed up data in iTunes?

You shouldn't, but prior to doing so, back up your backups to another location, and after reinstalling, place them back in their original directory.
