Imessage in ios 7

My iMessage is not working on my iPhone 5, and when the message doesn't get sent it is not defaulting to text messaging. I have checked the settings and they are set correctly. I know of a couple other people having similar issues. Is there a fix on the horizon?

I did figure something out, for anyone having the same issue. If you hold on the message u are trying to send (as if to copy it) it will ask u if u want to send it as a text message. That works for me for now until they fix it.
