Hello all,
On Friday night I charged my iPhone 6 and later removed it from the charger and turned it off at bed time.
On Saturday morning I switched it back on and ...........nothing. Just a black screen.
So I googled around and did the forced restart button presses blah blah.........nothing.
I connected it up to iTunes and it picked it up as an "iPhone in recovery mode" and needing restoring.
I went through the process and it ended with an error 4005.
I tried again and again and again. Many times with different USB leads using different ports on two different computers (one Windows).
Still the same error 4005.
I suspect my memory chip has given up the ghost.
The phone is 2 years old but it has been well treated and not massively used. There isn't a mark on it and it has never seen dampness.
I've got an appointment tomorrow at Apple and will see what they say.
Methinks it will be time for an iPhone 7 or a Samsung 7 edge.
