I Phone changing language

My Iphone 4S has suddenly decided to provide text spelling assistance in Portuguese!

I live in Potugal but prefer all language assistance in English. It used to be fine but has suddenly decided to change!

I changed all the International language options to English just to be sure but no use!

Any idea how I can get it back again?

Touch the Globe key on your keyboard until you get to the English one. Spellcheck works on whichever international keyboard is active.

By the way, Portuguese characters are available on the English keyboard. Touch, hold and slide "a" to get "ã", for example.
