How to ssh personalized sms ringtones

I've watched many videos and followed instucrions. I got it in there but the sound would never play. Help?!

I've never ssh'ed tones but if you have BiteSMS you don't have to mess with any of that. Makes it a lot easier IMO.

You just drag and drop a compatible ringtone file into /Library/Ringtones and you're done. Then just select it from the settings app.

So once I do that it will appear in the SMS tones?

Yes, but it has to be a compatible ringtone file(.m4r) no other file extensions will work. If you want to create a ringtone from one of your iPod songs you can download AnyRing from Cydia.

Do you have a problem with any ring cause it makes my phone go into safe mode all the time.

Nope, I am using AnyRing 5.14 on my Verizon iPhone4 4.2.8 and it works perfectly, I've never had it crash into safemode before. Make sure you are using the newest version.
