How to remove "audio playback controls"

When double-clicking the home button on my iPhone 4, it shows running apps. However, if you sweep from left to right, it also shows the iPod audio playback controls on the bottom -- which I wish to get rid of. Our other iPhone doesn't have this. Why is this there???? and how to get rid of this?? Thanks.

It's part of the iOS since 4.0. Your other phone should have it if it's on 4.0 or above...

Thanks. I didn't know it was "normal" to appear there. And you're right again: my other iPhone 4 does have those (unnecessary) controls there also.

i think its super sweet its there...i use it all the time

go to www.Mix.Dj/Dj101 ,download a mix or two,and you to will have a good reason to use that little feature as well

i really like being able to double click the home button on the locksreen to get music controls also
