I have a 4g iPhone with iOS 5.0.1 and I just bought my 6yo daughter a iTouch 4th generation with the same iOS.

I turned on "Find my iPhone" option in the iCloud menu on both devices and they both under my .mac Apple ID account.

However I have no clue how to actually use the feature to locate the other device.

The pics I see online show a device with the name of the device and with an option to do several things to it such as lock it, wipe it or map it. I see no such screens.

So, I guess my question is once you have the option on, how does it work?

Thanks

www.icloud.com and log in with your apple ID. Once logged in, one of the five options is "Find my iPhone." Clicking on that option will locate your device and give you the options to lock it, wipe it or play a sound to help you locate it. Hope this is what you were asking for.

And there are several topics about this already. This question is already solve, use the search button if you can.
