hotmail problem

hi,it's been a few days now that I have a weird 10 digit number next to hotmail in-box that was never there before. I guess it wouldn't bother me except sometimes when i receive emails to that account I hear the notification but my email icon doesn't show the red notification on it, witch means if I didn't hear it I wouldn't even know i had new mail.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated,thanks.

Check in settings if your notification is turned off or not, if it's off, turn it on.

my notifications have always been off and email still showed new emails,now I have a weird 10 digit number next to hotmail inbox. I deleted and reinstalled the account and it's the same.

use exchange for your hotmail account and you wont have any problems

Let us know how it goes with the exchange. Also can u post a screenshot of those 10digits you are talking about?
