Hot phone

I have just deleted everything from my iPhone 4S and restored from back up . But now the battery just drained completely with no apps running in under 6 hrs.. Anyone got any thoughts ?

How old is your phone ? Did you have a cell signal, did you have blue tooth on ? Did you have wifi on and did you have a connection ?

Hi, I had wifi on and all running apps were closed and Bluetooth was off. The phone went from 100% down to 7% in under 6hrs...the phone is 2 yrs old.... Up until last week the phone has been running great and good battery usage ..

Maybe battery has just lost it's charge holding ability?

Not that in two years it ought to have done so.

That's true. But it could depend on what the phone has been used for and how often. Gamers, for example, who play battery eating games non stop may see their battery go dead before one who just browses online and such. But it's usually a gradual degrading, not a sudden thing. But it could I suppose.
