I don't get it $79 jsut for side protectort that really does not protect since there is no padding. Why waste money on this.

I agree, cool looking case but I'll stick with my $10 Incipio case which protects the phone better

I understand that I'm just trying to work out the benefits if any for the case apart from looking good? Obviously I wouldn't wanna buy this then find it has reduced my iPhone for reception to as bad as it is when held in my left hand to my head.

Its just a normal case. It's expensive because of the material they used to construct it.
