Hi after replacing a new screen & battery on my sons Iphone 5 (which I have done to 100's of other iPhones)

After installing new one, the home button won't work.

Can someone offer some advise as I really don't know what to do or what to replace.

Everything was working fine before & I am always careful.

Please can someone help

It's possible that the connection to the home button was accidentally damaged when you were changing the screen and battery. If the damage wasn't obviously apparent, it could have been missed when the phone was reassembled.

Where abouts am I looking.

Am I looking at the 2 think flex cables on the motherboard?
Or the very small cable on the home button itself?

Ok I followed the guide & every step I followed.

I brought a new home button & flex cable but still not working.

I placed a screwdriver across the 2 prongs that touch the home flex but nothing.

Can anyone else shed some light?
