Hey everybody. I've dealt with Apple products for a while, and currently have a white, 16GB iPhone 4S, and a white, 32GB iPad 2. Thought I'd join the forum and ask a quick question. Does anybody know what the circled object is on the 4S in the attached picture? My best guess is that it is a censor for the Siri "raise to speak". Thanks for any input.

It's the proximity sensor. It's the same on both iPhone 4 and the 4s. It has nothing to do with siri itself.

It s the sensor that makes the screen go to sleep when you put the phone to your ear. The black iPhone has it too it's just not as noticeable.
