I've had my iphone 5 since it had come out or right around there
But the last few months I can't get it to connect to my iTunes on any computer
I usually use my gateway netbook for just iTunes
It has windows 7
iTunes is up to date but I can't update my phone because of the size requirements and I don't want to lose all my pictures
Please help

What happens when you try to connect your iPhone to iTunes? Do you get an error message?

BTW, the latest iOS update, iOS 8.1.3, has reduced the storage space necessary for an OTA update. Try going to Settings>General>Software Update to see if you now have enough free storage to do the update.

It asks to trust the computer
I say ok
Then it pops up like a camera in my computer but iTunes never registers it
And no
Sadly I have a couple thousand pictures over the last 6 months or so that I can't get transferred and have less than 100 my left of storage

You can try to use iTools, free software

Doesn't iTools contribute to app theft?

Try a different USB cord. Plug it into the computer and see if it shows up as an EXTERNAL DRIVE. If so, drag the picture off the phone from there.

Computer finds it
With my ratty original cord and a new one
But I've seen that some cords are duds when it comes to pc transfer and are only good for charging

Try using the steps in the following article:

iPhone iPad or iPod touch not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support

This should help resolve your problem with linking your iPhone with iTunes.

To import photos to a pc, do this.
Plug phone to pc, -> My Computer,->iPhone icon, rt. click, then click import
