HELP REQUIRED ASAP (iphone 4 batt replacement)

Using this as a guide and typically enough, photobucket cant allow me to upload a pic of the issue at the moment.

Installing iPhone 4S Battery - iFixit


The old battery is out, but it looks like the wee ground clip whatever they are talking about in Step 5 just fell on to the table, I didnt have to physically take it out.

Where DOES this go, is it black side down or copper side down, how does it go back on?
