What are claimed to be the first images of actual iPhone 8 parts rather than mockups and dummies have been posted on Reddit today, according to MacRumors. The images were said to have been provided by a case manufacturer that obtained them from a glass supplier in China.
The first image shows what are claimed to be the front and back panel of the iPhone 8. The front panel clearly shows the extra thin bezel and the black bar at the top that houses the front-facing camera array, microphone, and speaker. The rear panel shows the vertical cut-out for the dual lens camera as well as a protruding lens housing. There is, happily, no rear Touch ID sensor.
The second image shows similar iPhone 8 front and back panels alongside back panels for the 4.7-inch iPhone 7s and the 5.5-inch iPhone 7s Plus. However, much of the panels are hidden in sleeves.
