Mozilla has announced via its blog that Firefox Home is now availabe for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Now before everyone gets excited, the free app, which can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store, is not an iPhone version of the Firefox browser, rather it's a utility that provides access to your Firefox desktop history, bookmarks and open tabs via your iphone. First you must use Firefox Sync to sync your browser data from Firefox on your home computer or laptop to the cloud, and the Firefox Home app will then pull it down and use it to search and browse the internet on the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch's Mobile Safari browser. The app enables you to view sites in Firefox Home, open them in Mobile Safari, or email your bookmarks to your friends. It also features a version of Firefox's Awesome Bar, where you can use the URL field of your browser to do a keyword search, which will then pull up results based on your browsing history and bookmarks. Firefox insists that your information will be protected and private when stored in the cloud.

What this basically means is that you can quickly access all your regular bookmarks that you use at home or in the office on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch when you're on the move, which sounds pretty cool and very handy to me.
