If my phone is in "sleep" mode is it supposed to wake up when I send it the "play a sound" tone from the iCloud? Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

It shouldn't matter what mode it is in. The only thing I can think is happening is that notification isn't making it to the phone due to an interenet error. I would suggest speaking to Apple about this. If you have a way to replicate this error, they will probably want to know how to as well so they can fix it.

Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can get it to happen on a consistent basis.
