FaceTime issue

I have two iPhones (work & personal). They have two different phone numbers on two different carriers. The phones have different Apple IDs for iMessage and FaceTime. They do share the same Apple ID for the App Store (so I'm not purchasing the same apps twice). My problem is when someone attempts to FaceTime me, both phones ring. In each phone's iMessage and FaceTime settings it looks like they're registered with different phone numbers/email addresses (those of the other phone aren't even shown). Is there some setting I'm missing that separates or distinguishes the phones from each other? What am i missing? Thanks for any help or ideas you have!!
