Back in December, Facebook introduced Live Video to a limited number of users. The new feature to the popular social network mimics apps like Periscope, where folks can stream live video for everyone to see.

On Friday, Facebook announced that Live Video is now rolling out to everyone in the U.S. The new feature can be accessed by simple tapping "Update Status" within the Facebook app, then selecting the Live Video icon.

While using Live Video, hosts can write a quick description and choose an audience to share with. The broadcast will then show the names of friends viewing and real-time comments.

Live Video should be arriving to Android shortly, but for now it's available on the official iOS Facebook application in the iTunes App Store.
